How To Add Timestamps To Photos On Android Phone
Here’s how to add timestamps to photos on your Android phone.
Capturing memories on your Android phone is easy, but sometimes you may want to add timestamps to your photos for better organization, documentation, or personal preference.
Since most Android phones don’t offer a built-in timestamp option in the camera app, you can still add them using built-in settings (if available) or with third-party apps.
Method 1: Add Timestamps Using Camera Settings
Open the Camera app.
Tap the Settings icon in the top left corner.
Look for Watermark and enable it.
By default, the watermark shows your phone’s model name.
To display only the date and time, uncheck Model Name and leave Date and Time checked.
You can also change the font style and adjust the alignment (bottom-left, center, or right).
Method 2: Use a Third-Party App
If your phone doesn’t support watermark settings:
Open the Google Play Store.
Search for a timestamp app.
Install it, allow permissions, and follow on-screen instructions.
From there, you’ll be able to capture photos with timestamps automatically applied.
