Here's a quick tutorial on how to apply an IPS patch file to your ROM specifically Sonic Battle for those who dont know how to do it.

1. Get LunarIPS
2.Download a Sonic Battle hack ips file
3.Open LunarIPS
4. Click "Apply Patch"
5.Select the IPS file you want to apply
6. Select the unmodified ROM file
7. Now open VBA and you should be good to go.
