3How To Beat The Chromatic Lancelier In Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
The Chromatic Lancelier is an optional boss in the Grand Meadow area of the Spring Meadows in Act 1. He’s pretty difficult when you first encounter him, so you can come back to him later in the game if you want to. But, if you want to defeat him early, you just need to block/parry most of his attacks, since he hits extremely hard. If you do manage to beat him, you’ll get a weapon upgrade for Gustave, the Augmented Attack Picto, Colour of Lumina x5, and Chroma Catalyst x2, so it’s definitely worth it.
Tips for the fight:\n1. Make sure you hit him first so you can get First Strike\n2. Try to dodge/parry everything you can!
3. Shoot his weak point to take a big chunk off at the start\n4. Focus on building Gustave’s Overcharge for big damage\n5. Use Lune’s Healing Light to regain some HP. This really is useless if you can’t dodge at least most of the attacks, but it can help some if he does hit you once.
6. I’m pretty sure he’s weak to Ice, but I didn’t know that when I fought him.
