In this video, Robin from RBN Hardware build's a computer from scratch, a complete blueprint. What pc parts do you need in order to build your own custom pc? We will look at what’s needed in terms of pc components to build a complete gaming rig.
How much does it cost to build a gaming pc? With the following example a gaming pc might cost you anywhere from $400 to $1000 us dollars for 1080p 60 fps in high details
So what parts are needed for a complete gaming desktop pc? Here are the following components needed/ pc build checklist/ gaming pc parts list:
CPU or a processor: either from AMD or Intel: such as the Ryzen 2700 2600 2400 or core i5/core i7 8400/8600/8700/9700/9900 etc.
Power supply unit or a PSU: preferably with 80+ certificate with detachable or modular cables
Graphics card or video card: either from nvidia such as a geforce gtx 1060/1070/1080 or amd radeon such as rx vega 56/64 or rx 560/580/590 for the best gaming experience.
Motherboard: from any of the various brands such as asus, msi, gigabyte aouros, evga. For intel socket may vary a lot: but mainly z390, z370, b360 and and the 1151 v2 socket. For amd: you want to look for chipset b450 or x470 and the am4 socket.1
Storage hard drive or ssd: you want to mainly focus on flash based storage such as m2 nvme operating over the pcie protocol or a 2.5 inch ssd sata based drive first and foremost. Mechanical drive with spinning discs might be an option as well, although should be used for storage mainly.
Ram system memory or ddr4: faster ram is typically always preferable. Over 3000mhz is many times recommended for amd am4 Ryzen cpus: including corsair, crucial, g.skill, gigabyte, hyperx, Kingston etc.
Case: look for mid tower enclosure if you’re planning on using the atx size measurement standard. Brands I like to recommend includes: corsair, nzxt, fractal design.
