How to build a wood planter from wood fence board (1"x6"x6') cedar or pressure treated. Includes vapor barrier inside. This wood was selected as it was the cheapest and worked fine for the size. Planter dimension was 2'x4' and total cost was ~$40 per box. Standard size needed 10 fence boards and a deeper version needed 12. Screws used were 1,1/4 or use staples with PL premium glue. Pressure treated wood was used in this case along with end cut treatment where it was cut or where the wood was screwed or stapled to preserve the wood.
