Method 1 – Computer Properties

1. Right on My Computer icon then click Properties.

2. You can also view your basic computer information by pressing Windows key + Pause Break key.

Method 2 – DXDIAG

1. Press Windows Key + R to launch Run application then type “dxdiag”.

2. You will see more details of you computer.

3. Click the Display tab to see what video card is installed. Take note of the last four characters inside the parentheses of Chip Type information.

4. Launch an internet browser the google “pci-ids”, then go to “http://pci-ids.ucw.cz/pci.ids” or “http://pciids.sourceforge.net/v2.2/pci.ids”

5. Search for the last four characters you get from dxdiag.

Method 3 – MSINFO32

1. Press Windows Key + R to launch Run application then type “msinfo32”.

2. You will see more details of you computer.

3. Got to “Display – PNP Device ID” and look for “DEV_” and take note of the next four characters. In this example it’s “683F”.

4. Do Steps 4 and 5 from Method 2 – DXDIAG.
