How to Connect PS4 Controller to PS5 Console (Pair & Sync)
4To connect a PS4 controller to a PS5 console, follow these steps:
Ensure that your PS5 console is turned on and in pairing mode. You can do this by pressing and holding the power button on the console until you hear a second beep. This puts the console into pairing mode, indicated by the light bar on the front of the console flashing.
On the PS4 controller, locate the "Create" button. It is located between the touchpad and the share button.
Press and hold the "Create" button on the PS4 controller until the light bar on the controller starts flashing.
Once the PS4 controller is in pairing mode, it should automatically connect to the PS5 console. The light bar on the controller will turn solid when the connection is established.
If the PS4 controller doesn't connect automatically, you can manually connect it by going to the PS5's settings. From the main menu, navigate to "Settings" - "Accessories" - "General" - "Bluetooth Accessories." Select "Wireless Controller" from the list of available devices and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the pairing process.
