There is more than one way to create a image of a USB, I have chosen PassMark Image USB for this tutorial, to show you how easy it is to create a full backup image of your USB Drive.
PassMark Image USB is free, light weight software utility that runs on all Windows operating systems.
Its very important to backup your data to another drive on a regular basis, even today we don't seem to backup as often as we should and this is when you can run into trouble, especially if you get hit with malware crypto ransomware that encrypts all your data.
I would recommended you backup on a regular basis, just in case of computer crashes or hardware failure. If this happens to you and you have no backup, the cost can be huge to recover data, this could be all your photo's, documents, holiday videos, music and what ever you have on that drive at the time of hardware failure.
With a backup you can restore that image back, the only cost would be to replace the hardware if it failed, but even system crashes can cause data loss.
