In this video I'm showing you how I deal with a complex illustration, and how to build a solid base with the basic shapes, so that later the details will be more accurate!

We'll demo this using a beautiful Ken Sugimori illustration for the pokemon franchise. This illustration is most well-known for adorning one of the rarer older Carddass cards.
