In today's video I'm trying to more clearly separate the light and shadow family. I'll demo this using a portrait painting.
The idea is to deliberately decided on what is light and what is shadow.
My biggest takeaway from this one is how my initial wash should have been darker, to better separate the two families.
Despite some mistakes, hopefully seeing the first wash still demonstrates how this is done. Will try and do an improved version in the future (:
