How to Delete a Word From Chrome Browser Spell Check Dictionary.

If you are a Chrome browser user you would have seen the red colored line under the word while writing an email or comment on web page post or YouTube comments. It might be the correct word, but say the name of the person or place or anything which cannot be found in Chrome spelling dictionary will be treated as the misspelled word. When this happens, we either ignore it or opt to add it to the dictionary if we do not want to be reminded again.

Chrome’s spellcheck feature is handy, and works just like you’d expect: it underlines misspelled words, which you can right-click to see suggested spellings. You can even add a word to the dictionary. But what do you do when you accidentally add a misspelled word? We’ve got the answer.

To add words, what we do is just right-click on that word and it will show the correctly spelled word or we click on ‘Add to Dictionary’. By doing so, we will not come across this problem again.

If you’re like me, and you’ve accidentally added words to your Mac’s dictionary while using Chrome’s spell check functionality, you may be frustrated by the lack of an easy way to remove them. It’s extremely handy, but with the “add to dictionary” option right below the correction option, it’s incredibly easy to do.

What isn’t easy is to find out how to remove the word from the custom dictionary, and because it’s probably one that you will misspell again (if you’re like me), it just spells trouble in that future email where you cannot spell correctly.

This tutorial will apply for computers, laptops, desktops, and tablets running the Windows 10, Windows 8/8.1, Windows 7 operating systems. Works for all major computer manufactures (Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba, Lenovo, Samsung).
