How to design SVG files in Inkscape - Design a cake topper in Inkscape - Cutting acrylic on Xtool P2
23Hi Friends, Welcome back to the craft castle! Today I’m showing you how to design possibly the prettiest cake topper you'll ever see! Designing in Inkscape is actually very easy and the beauty of Inkscape is that you can take your files and import them into any craft cutting machine that you want to use AND INKSCAPE IS FREE! I've been using Inkscape for many years now (I think maybe like 7 or 8) and I can tell you that it's the best program ever! Now I totally could've made this cake topper in xTool's design program but sometimes their software gives me a headache, so I'm going to do what's easiest for me and design in Inkscape, import it into xTool's creative space, and cut on my xtool P2! For this project you'll just need a couple pieces of scrap acrylic material, some florals found at your craft store and a couple odds and ends! I hope you enjoy making this cake topper with me!
