Step 1. Open the Settings app on your Android device, and then tap "Location" in this menu.

Step 2. Scroll down this menu, and then tap "Location Services."

Step 3. Tap "Bluetooth Scanning" in this list. Options for Bluetooth scanning are shown.

Step 4. Tap to toggle off "Bluetooth Scanning." Going forward, apps and services on your Android device will no longer be allowed to scan for nearby devices, even when Bluetooth is toggled off.
