I don't think it's inherently bad to have W-W-W-tap=run controls but I think the usability of that "feature" is unbearable compared to the effort made to teach players to handle weapons properly. An effort to teach players to move properly is not noticeable and each of us has a different frustration point and while I am so cool with shooting myself with a gun, I am not cool throwing myself off a ledge like an idiot who actually wants to do that.
