[How To] Downgrade Firmware on PSP Fat/Slim From 6.60 to 6.XX In Less Than 7 Minutes
Disclaimer: It is important that you do NOT downgrade your PSP to a firmware lower than your stock firmware. Example: If your PSP when brand new was 6.00 firmware, do not downgrade it to 5.XX. By doing so, you will brick your PSP. I am not held responsible if you somehow brick your PSP. If you got tips, let me know and I will add them here.
This tutorial will show you how to downgrade the PSP (mine is PSP slim 2000) from 6.60 official firmware to 6.35, and then from there install 6.35 pro B10 custom firmware. Want to use some other custom firmware?
You can do that too! Just watch the video to understand them method, and then mod to your hearts delight.
Other information thanks to Alex Wolfenstein:
"the firmware dosent stick because it is not permanent ... so ... you have to run the fast recovery everytime ... (UNLESS you have a psp 100x / 200x with v1 / v2 motherboard and you install 6.20 / 6.39 / 6.60) so you have to be on one of them and them use the CIPL FLASHER that you will find when you download the 6.20 / 6.39 / 6.60 PRO FIRMWARE
------WARNING------
DO NOT FUCKING DO THIS ON A PSP 200X WITH V3 MOTHERBOARD / PSP 3000X / PSP GO
cause yo'll fucking brick it ..."
"if you brick your psp you can use a MMS & PB (magic memory stick & pandora battery) ... you can make them or buy them from somewhere to unbrick your psp ...
i'm a PSP MASTER HAHAHA! ...
by the way v3 motherboard works to and psp 3000 and also psp go ... sa ya ... :D"
"PSP 2000 WITH V1 / V2 MOBO CAN GO ALL THE WAY DOWN TO 3.71 HOWEVER YOU HAVE TO USE A DIFRENT DOWNGRADER TO GO FROM 6.20 TO 5.XX / 4.XX / 3.XX ... BUT DONT GO LOWER THEN 3.71
PSP 1000 CAN GO DOWN TO 1.50 (FIRST FIRMWARE EVER MADE ... BUT AGAIN U HAVE TO USE ANOTHER DOWNGRADER TO GO FROM 6.20 TO X.XX"
