How To Enable App Notifications In Windows 10 [Tutorial]
If you've installed certain programs on your PC or left specific settings enabled, you might find yourself getting unwanted notifications. Fortunately, it doesn't take much time to block an application from cluttering your display with annoying alerts.
Windows 10 displays notifications at the lower-right corner of the screen, just above the system tray. You’ll get notifications about installed apps, new emails, system updates, and other events.
The Action Center in Windows 10 collects and shows notifications and alerts from traditional Windows applications and system notifications, alongside those generated from modern apps. Notifications are then grouped in the Action Center by app and time. When the Action Center gets a new notification, it will briefly show a notification banner above the taskbar notification area to let you know.
Starting with Windows 10 build 14328, you will now see badges appearing on UWP apps on the taskbar in addition to their Live Tiles and in Action Center. These badges are lightweight notifications that are contextual and specific to individual apps. For example, the Mail apps badge shows you the number of unseen emails (not unread). The Alarms & Clock app’s badge will show you that you have an active alarm. The Weather app’s badge lets you know when there is a weather alert in the area.
This tutorial will apply for computers, laptops, desktops, and tablets running the Windows 10 operating system (Home, Professional, Enterprise, Education) from all supported hardware manufactures, like Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba,Lenovo, and Samsung).
