A new update means spikes no longer impale you in place, instead you get launched skyward in an hilarious manner with an associated animation, this could be helpful in evading some enemies in more difficult situations later, however it also introduces the possibility of launching outside of the map. I wonder if this is to prevent the traps jamming themselves, or actually to help the player.
