A 2x1 might be the second most common footprint, here is how i would expand it into a main Base.

In the past alot of people have uploaded a video on how to make a 2x1 your main Base (including myself). But most of those didn't use your normal 2x1 as a Footprint but something a bit different that then allowed them to increase the raid cost. Here i made a base with just a standart 2x1 that noone will suspect to become anything else.
