Ever had a hard drive die on you? ever wondered whether it is under warranty? you be surprised sometimes to know some hard drives have a 3 or 5 year warranty. So if the hard drive or SSD failed before the dead line is up, then you could RMA that hard drive and get your money back.

Open command prompt by type cmd in search box and run as administrator.

1. Check hard drive serial number in Windows 10 via PoweShell
Get-WMIObject win32_physicalmedia | Format-List Tag, SerialNumber

2. To find Hard Disk Serial Number in Windows 10
wmic diskdrive get Name, Manufacturer, Model, InterfaceType, MediaType, SerialNumber.

3. To get SSD or Hard Drive Serial Number
wmic diskdrive get serialnumber
