Roku devices are great for accessing streaming content from a variety of sources, such as Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, HBO Go, and more. If you run into problems with your Roku device and need to contact customer support, one piece of information you'll need to know is your device's serial number, which is a unique number that will help Roku better understand your device. In this video, I'll show you how to find your device's serial number using both the Roku app, and the Roku.com website.
First, let's walk through how to find your Roku serial number using the Roku app for iPhone, iPad and Android devices.
Step 1. Launch the Roku app on your iPhone, iPad or Android device, and then sign in to your Roku account if prompted. You'll land on the Roku Channel screen.
Step 2. Tap the "Settings" icon in the upper right corner of the screen. The Settings icon looks like a gear. The Settings screen appears.
Step 3. Tap the name of the device currently listed at the top of the Device section. The list of devices associated with your Roku account appears. The serial number for each Roku device appears directly under the name of that device to the right of "SN."
Now let's walk through how to find your Roku serial number using the Roku.com website.
Step 1. Open a web browser, navigate to Roku.com, and then sign in to your account. You'll arrive at the Roku home screen.
Step 2. Click the silhouette of a person in the upper right corner of the screen. A drop-down menu appears.
Step 3. Click "My Account" in the drop-down menu. The My Account screen appears.
Step 4. Scroll down to the My Linked Devices section, where you'll find a list of Roku devices associated with your Roku account. The serial number associated with each device can be found in the Serial column.
