How to Fix ‘Access Control Entry Is Corrupt’ Error on Windows 10/8/7 [Tutorial]

Getting restrictions on your access on Windows is frustrating. However, our users will see that the error “Access Control Entry is Corrupt” appears in a yellow field after clicking OK to save the changes, which means that your access to a file or folder is not allowed.
Several Windows users have been reaching us with questions after being unable to change the ‘owner’ in the Advanced Security Settings. Upon clicking Ok to save the changes, affected users are reporting that they see the ‘Access Control Entry is Corrupt‘ error popping up in a yellow box and the change never gets saved.
