Ok so this fix is related to the february update ( thats when it got me by the short and curlies )
If you find your update is hanging then and you have tried all the delete the odd file that it gets stuck on, HKEY regedits as below and reinstalling gaming services, you have even uninstalled and started fresh from the XBOX App and Flight sim but the thing keeps hanging at the same point or you might have tried to repair the installaion - it downloads 8Kb file and then stops you even launching, I love that little cherub of surprise. One last thing is you might have installed to its own folder, sais its installed and shows you the dune screen with a blue bar full of excitement scrolling across the bottom of the screen which promises to deliver an anti-climax and frozen screen.
You may well find you have a corrupted WPSystem file. Please watch the video to see an easy fix for this.
Essentially rename the WPSystem file to WPSystemOld and then launch the game, this will force the XBOX app to recreate the WPSystem folder and it will re-download the updates and off you go. Bobs your uncle, fannies your Aunt, Bish Bosh Bash you're in the sky again.
