How to Fix Slow & Unresponsive Fire TV Remote (Reset Tutorial)
If your Fire TV remote is slow or unresponsive, here are some things you can try to fix the issue:
Check the battery level: Make sure your Fire TV remote has enough battery power. Replace the batteries if necessary.
Restart your Fire TV: Unplug your Fire TV from the power outlet and wait for 30 seconds before plugging it back in. This will reboot the device and may fix the remote issue.
Pair the remote again: If the remote is still not responding, try to pair it again with the Fire TV. Press and hold the Home button on the remote for 10 seconds, then release it. Wait for a few seconds and see if the remote starts working again.
Clear the remote cache: Go to Settings - Applications - Manage Installed Applications - Fire TV Remote App. Select Clear cache to clear the cache of the remote app.
Reset the remote: Remove the batteries from the remote and then press and hold the Home button for 30 seconds. This will reset the remote and you can then reinsert the batteries and pair it with the Fire TV.
Try using the Fire TV app: You can also try using the Fire TV app on your mobile device as a remote control if the physical remote is not working.
