Have you been experiencing slow download speeds on Steam? In this video, I'll be walking through the settings in Steam so we can optimize and fix slow download speeds to bring them up to our true internet speeds.

Speedtests can be done from https://www.speedtest.net/ or elsewhere

Please note the following:
BY DEFAULT, STEAM USES MB/s WHILE SPEEDTEST USES mbps

These are TWO DIFFERENT UNITS.
E.g. 100mbps = 12.5MB/s

mbps stands for megabits per second
MB/s stands for megabytes per second

Ensure you check this to correctly compare your internet speed vs your Steam download speed.

You can change Steam to show your download speed in megabits within the Download settings (tick “Display download rates in bits per second”)
