How to fix Synology Active Backup for Business not backing up from startup triggered event
If you are using Synology Active Backup For Business (ABB) And you are finding a new PC or laptop on the list isn't creating backups at the scheduled times or maybe the triggered events are not forcing a backup like when starting up Windows for example. Then you might be effected by the Windows fast boot / fastboot function.
Windows Fast boot reloads the previous Windows kernel and doesn't reload the drivers and all services, so this might not allow the trigger to actually happen, therefore you don't get a backup on startup.
Easy to fix for now, until synology find a suitable workaround. Go into power management settings and disable fastboot, usually i tell people to do this anyway.
