How to fix the Labyrinth Bug Cube Puzzle from patch 1.004.000 | Silent Hill 2 Remake
18Important This solution only works with physical copies of the game since it has older versions on the disc. Unfortunately I'm unaware of any fixes for digital copies at this time.
There was a recent patch to 1.004.000 that ended up creating a game breaking bug. Team Bloober is currently working on a patch to fix this but you can't currently progress as-is. The work around for this is as follows:
-Make sure that your recent save data is uploaded to your cloud then turn off the auto-sync function
-Delete the game entirely off your machine
-Reinstall it but do NOT allow the 1.004.000 patch to download and install. You can either pause the download or just take yourself off the wifi completely so that it doesn't connect w/ PSN.
-You must wait until all data is installed. So you can NOT pickup once you've installed "Ready to play" milestone. You must wait until it is 100% installed.
-Download the save data from the cloud (just to be safe that the install didn't create a new save file, possibly erasing your progress).
-You will need to then load your autosave in the Rotten Room right before you drop down the hole.
-This should unlock the issue and a new light should exist, showing the next phase of the cube puzzle.
