Inorder to be able to send the direct messages on tiktok make sure that you're ages 16 and above. And you're sending direct message to a person you follow and the friends on tiktok. If you go and try to send a message on tiktok that you don't follow then you won't be able to send the message to the person. A part from that there are things you can check if you not been able to send direct message option to contact inorder to do so follow this steps correctly.
Step 1. Open tiktok app.
Step 2. And sign in account if necessary. Once you're in from the home screen tap on the me button at the bottom right corner.
Step 3. And to the three dots at the upper right corner. Now under settings and privacy select privacy and from this page scroll all the way down under safety and tap on direct messages option.
Step 4. Under who can send you direct messages tap on either everyone or friends. We will recommend you to choose friends if you don't want messages from random followers or random strangers.
Step 5. Once you choose this settings go back and try sending the direct messages to one of your contact.
Step 6. Another thing you can go try out is go and update tiktok application. Sometimes if you have the updated version of the tiktok then you have got trouble sending that direct message.
Step 7. Go to app store or play store and search for tiktok.
Step 8. And see if there is any update available if there is then go and tap on the update button and go back to your tiktok and send that direct message to one of your contacts.
