DWORD KEY: Enabled
Windows 10 and 8
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Script Host\Settings
Windows XP/Vista/7
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows Script Host\Settings
In this tutorial, we look into resolving the" Windows Script Host access is disabled on this machine, Contact your administrator for details" error.
For this fix, we need to edit the registry and create a new key. You should back up the registry, but in this case, we can always delete the new key we create if this fix fails.
There are two possible locations to create this key depending on which versions of Windows you have. We've heard different people say different locations worked for them. Because of this, you might need to try one location, and if that fails, delete that new key and try the other location.
Navigate to and right click on the right pane and select New, DWORD (32-Bit-Value) and name the new key Enabled.
