MIUI 12/MIUI 12.5 missing Gaussian blur on Control Center finally gets a workaround
One of these ‘inessential’ features was Gaussian blurring behind the Control Center which was replaced with an ugly grey background. The blur effect was reportedly quite heavy on the GPU and was thus declared as the main culprit behind the lag.
Unfortunately, most users observed little improvement in fluidity following the removal, which led them to demand the restoration of Gaussian blur in the Control Center.
