Follow the steps below to fully close a game on Xbox One:
1. Press the Xbox One guide button on your controller to open the menu.
2. In the menu scroll down until you are on the game you want to close. Select the start button on your Xbox controller.
3. Select Quit.
4. Once you have quit the game, you can reopen it if needed.
