EDIT: I uninstall and reinstall the game. Start a new round of Career, complete 1 round (pass finish line) with more than enough reputation to pass 20K. Then start next stage of career and purposely it and the 20K quest was completed.

PREVIOUSLY: My gamepass tracked till 19978 and refused to go further. May need to try again on another day. Hope this help anyone out there.
