The first time I left Mechagon, I wasn't quite sure how to get back but there are two ways. If you're in Zuldazar, you can talk to the NPC shown in this video or if you're already on Kul Tiras, you will need to mount across the shortest distance btwn Drustvar and Mechagon Island. Make sure you start from the northeastern tip of the zone before you hit fatigued waters. The video starts from the Grand Bazaar down by the Port in Dazaralor (46, 84).

A flight master was just added to Mechagon Island in the latest build (30/04/2019). You can find him close to the ship leading you back to Dazar'alor.
