How to Get to Minus World - Super Mario Bros. NES
Ever wonder how to do the Minus World glitch in the original Super Mario Brothers for NES? Here's a quick tutorial to guide you to Minus World (also known as Negative World or World -1).
About the Minus World Glitch
The Minus World glitch is a fairly well known glitch in Super Mario Bros. where you can actually get to World -1 (Negative World, Minus World). Minus World is the exact same layout as the underwater level 7-2. This level cannot be completed, getting to the end pipe will just start you back at the beginning to keep going until Mario dies or time runs out.
Here's How to Get to Minus World
Near the end of the underground portion of World 1-2 do not go through the final pipe. Break two blocks above the pipe, leaving the block closest to the pipe intact. Move Mario back and forth so that you can see the warp pipe on the right of the screen. Then, stand on the edge of the pipe, face left, and jump backward to the corner of the block that remains next to the pipe. If successful, Mario will slide through the brick wall and to the warp pipes, use the first warp pipe you encounter before the warp levels load to complete the glitch.
