As you'll eventually find a peculiar lamp when exploring the Sorcerer's Vault, a Genie swaps you places as you interact with the lamp. I killed the Djinn, but one person will get stuck in the lamp whenever that character interacts with the lamp, swapping places with the one inside. If you cast a spell like "Mage Hand", you'll see that the spell can't pick up the lamp when you click on it. But if you click and drag, like you're trying to move the lamp, the hand will warp in and swap your character places. Leaving the hand in there alone until it unsummons, breaking the lamp curse.
