How To Hook Your N64 To Work With Your Elgato Game Capture HD (IT FINALLY CAME!)
My missing pieces I needed to record my N64 with the Elgato finally came. So now, I'm gonna show you guys how to hook it up if anyone seeing this wants to set it up themselves.
UPDATE: there was one thing that was omitted from the video that should've been added. When you have the Game Capture HD Software running, you need to plug the USB cable from the Elgato to your computer. (Only then will it allow you to change the settings.) Once that is connected, on the right side, you'll see a small red box saying "No Signal" (under the "Device" tab) Click the gear located at the bottom right of the tab.
Then, under the "Capture" tab, change your Input Device to "Other", and change your Video Input to "Composite". The rest of the settings in the Device Settings box are a matter of personal preference/computer capabilities.
I do apologize for the inconvenience...
