How to Import FSX Aircraft in Oct 2020 Guide #1 - Mods & Addons for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020
**2022 Guide #5 is now out located here: https://youtu.be/EFVRp_vwXj4 **
Welcome to my Mods & Addons series of videos. In this short video I show how you can install and set up the F14D Tomcat using the MSFS Legacy Importer. (or any other FSX aircraft) Some aircraft may differ slightly and not require all steps but most jet aircraft work with this method as of October 2020.
**PLEASE NOTE msfsLegacyImporter has updated and some functions may have changed since making this video**
Here are the 12 steps to get this working and have fun with it:
1. Download msfsLegacyImporter file and unzip to folder
2. Download FSX aircraft file and unzip to folder
3. Port Aircraft folder to msfs2020 community folder
4. Edit aircraft.cfg afterburner to 0
5. Remove gear up and down .wav files from sound folder
6. Test in game
7. Change to another aircraft in game
8. Convert all or desired other items in legacy importer
9. Test in game
10. Edit thrust in engine.cfg to more to compensate no afterburner if you desire
11. Test in game
12. Join me on Discord so we can fly together. Cheers!!
