Glu has completely dropped support for this awesome classic game and abandoned it. As such the game will not work on any Android version higher than 5.1. If you try to run it on a newer Android version you will most likely get an error saying "Download Failed. Wrong Size On Server". But fortunately and thanks to VMOS we can enjoy this great game again on any android version. VMOS is a virtual machine which enables you to run apps that will only run on an older Android version using your new Android phone. It also enables you to run apps that need root on your non-rooted device.
