How to Install Mortal Kombat 4 for PC On Windows Vista. Please rate and Comment if you need help.

STEPS:

1. Place the CD in the DVD/CD Drive (if auto run comes up cancel it), then right-click on the CD and click "Explore"

2. Open the folder called "DATA" and copy all the files in the folder, (Note: DON'T COPY THE FOLDER JUST ALL THE FILES INSIDE IT.)

3. Create a new folder call it whatever you want (mk4 is what I did), then paste the files you copied from the "DATA" folder

4. Rename the file called "MK4.EXE" Mortal Kombat 4.EXE

5. Run the setup file and install it in the folder you created.

6. You Will get an error message saying "Start Menu Error" DON'T CLICK THE CLEANUP OPTION, instead press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC to bring up the Task Manager.

7. Find the Program called SETUP.EXE and rick-click on it and choose End Task, then a dialogue now will come up and click End Now.

8. Launch Mortal Kombat 4 and enjoy!

For who is trying this on Win 7 and got the error "Run setup from CD" try this: open Notepad and paste this

then go to "File", "save as...", on "type" select "all files (*.*), on "name" put mk4.reg and save.

Go down until you see an attachment called mk4_ptc1.rar then extract it and extract the exe patch and then just go to the target folder called patch and mortal kombat IV patch 1. Copy everything in the mortal kombat IV folder and paste it in your existing mk4 directory and just overwrite all contents. Read the ReadMe file for details. It doesn't totally fix the voice issues but it helps (at least it didn't fix them all for me but it could be cause my disc is scratched heavily.)
