Hi, this video shows you how to make your old flat screen TV or Monitor that doesn't have HDMI ports into a HDMI compatible device so you can connect up newer equipment like Tablets, Xbox One/PS4s gaming consoles or anything with a HDMI port as the output. Most old monitors and Flat Screen TVs will have a VGA port and you can use this to connect up the newer equipment by buying a HDMI to VGA adapter and also a HDMI switch. You will be able to buy these things for approx. £10 -£20 ($13-$25) so if you still like your old TV then this option will get some more years out of it.
