Hi, this video shows you how to change the battery in 5 different Smoke Alarms/Detectors and 1 Carbon Monoxide Alarm.
Hopefully after watching the video you will be more familiar with the different ways to change the battery when it comes to replacing your own Smoke Detector battery.
While changing the battery you can check the replacement date on the smoke alarm and also clean and lightly vacuum clean out any dust that has built up on it.
It is good practice to change the batteries once or twice a year and normally completely replace the smoke alarm after 10 years or when the manufacturer recommends.
