Video Transcript:
If you have an Android device, between music, movies, news, sports and games, it doesn't take long to pile up a lot of subscriptions managed through your Google Play account. As a result, it's important to manage your subscriptions to ensure you're not paying for something you don't need and you have the right payment information set up, among other things, but also to make sure hackers aren't racking up charges against your account. It's important to note that if you're looking for a refund for a Google Play subscription you have to make that request within 48 hours of the subscription being initiated; I'll include the link in the description where you can start that process. If it's been more than 48 hours, you'll have to work with the app developer to see if they'll give you a refund. In this video I'll show you how to manage your Google Play subscriptions through either a web browser or directly on your Android device.

Let's start by looking at how to manage your Google Play subscriptions on your Android device.

Step 1. Tap to launch the "Google Play" app on your Android device. You'll land on your Google Play home screen.

Step 2. Tap the "Menu" icon on the home screen to bring up a menu, and then click "Subscriptions" in the menu. The Subscriptions screen is displayed, listing all of your Google Play subscriptions.

Step 3. Tap the subscription you want to see more information about. The information screen for that specific subscription is shown. This is where you'll find any options to pause or restart payments for a Google Play subscription, change your subscription type, or cancel a subscription. You can also see the date your subscription will renew, what your current plan is, and your primary and backup payment method.

Now let's look at how to manage your Google Play subscriptions through a web browser.

Step 1. Open a web browser and navigate to Play.Google.com. Log into your Google Play account if prompted. You'll land on your Google Play home screen.

Step 2. Click "My Subscriptions" in the menu on the left side of the screen. The My Subscriptions screen is displayed, listing all of your Google Play subscriptions.

Step 3. Click "Manage" next to the subscription you want to see more information about. The information screen for that specific subscription is shown. This is where you'll find any options to pause or restart payments for a Google Play subscription, change your subscription type, or cancel a subscription. You can also see the date your subscription will renew, what your current plan is, and your primary and backup payment method.
