Working on Vettel's mastery of the Suzuka sector 1 and Schumacher's and Senna's mindset behind... At a certain point in their careers, they all realized how freeing the mind brought the highest performance. In the second part of the video, I share a very precious personal gift I received in Kanji art form and Sumi-e Japanese ink painting. The circle, called enso, symbolizes elegance in Zen Buddhism and is drawn as a meditative practice in letting go of the conscious mind and allowing the body to create. This philosophy aligns with Senna's famous description of his tunnel vision--aka. the flow state. His comprehension of this mental state may be one of the many reasons for Senna's achievement in becoming the first foreign sportsman to be truly embraced and idolized by the Japanese.
With the F1 car on top of it, I think enso also resembles a circuit. Suzuka is one of few circuits in the world to have a figure-of-eight layout, meaning the circuit runs both clockwise and anti-clockwise. Within the circle is the Kanji rendition of my surname.
