How to Maximize The 2022 Archaeology Event in Forge of Empires (Butterfly Set Configurations)

*** IMPORTANT UPDATE ***
The number of base scrolls available from the event has decreased by roughly 1700!! Quick update to the recommended strategy and projected rewards....
You can still get 10-11 selection kits and 5-7 daily specials. Use this strategy:

1) Focus on getting idols/totems to advance grand prize as much as possible.
2) Do NOT focus on Daily Specials. The drop rate is already weak and most of the daily specials are not strong in this event anyways.
3) Make sure to get your daily calendar gem (even if it means spending tools when a lousy daily special is up). Finishing the calendar is far more important and valuable than any daily specials available.

4) Collect all the tablets available and complete as many tablet quests as possible.

At first, the 25% reduction in free currency seemed awful. However, since you have to go from grand prize 17 all the way to grand prize 29(ish) to go from selection kit 11 to selection kit 12, the reduction in the number of grand prizes available for free doesn't make much of a difference to the best you can get for free. Said another way. You need to do an extra ~12 grand prizes to get 1 more selection kit. That was not possible (for free) before the nerf, and yet 11 selection kits are still technically possible (for free) after the nerf.

The bigger change is that you must do all your tablet quests. Getting lucky and getting all 8 tablets is also a big factor as it's worth ~400 scrolls. It is possible that with the currency nerf, the rare tablet rate may have been buff (doubtful).

Personally, I'll prob just aim for the 7 piece set and if i get better than that, yaya.
