The topic of multi-classing into the same character class with a different archetype has come up more than once since 5th Edition Dungeons and Dragons has come out. We discuss the pros and cons of taking multiple levels in the same class with different archetypes. This can be a confusing aspect of the players handbook, because sometimes players just have an idea that seems thematic by combining different archetypes together.
