In this video I cover Ananicy and nohang, two tools that can help to optimise performance in Linux when your system is under load or at low memory.

1. Ananicy.

Ananicy (ANother Auto NICe daemon) — is a shell daemon created to manage processes' IO and CPU priorities, with community-driven set of rules for popular applications.

2. nohang

nohang package provides a highly configurable daemon for Linux which is able to correctly prevent out of memory (OOM) and keep system responsiveness in low memory conditions.

The package also includes additional diagnostic tools (oom-sort, psi2log, psi-top).
