How To Pick Locks in Starfield with Digipicks
121. Collect as many Digipicks as you can while exploring. For a closer look at how many you’ve collected you can them in your Misc category in your inventory.
2. When you approach a locked box or door, good practice is to save your game. If you fail, you lose all your Digipicks and have no more chances until you find more. A door will not let you enter the lock picking puzzle if you have too few Digipicks.
3. Entering the puzzle, you’ll see how many Digipicks you are carrying. This is how many kits you have to complete this puzzle.
4. Security level is how difficult this puzzle is.
5. In this example, there are two levels to pick, the outer level first, then the inner level. Plan ahead before using your picks.
6. Over to the right you’ll see all the pin key sets. Look through these and rotate the pin keys to see where the pins line up with the shafts (or slots). Try to imagine which pin key sets will fill all the slots, no duplicates (overlaps of the same pin slots).
7. Ready to commit? Slot a key. Once you place pins in all the empty slots, enter your slot key selection, and the holes disappear, removing the outer ring and completing the first ring.
8. Enter your choice for the next ring, and it will be unlocked.
