RULES:
The object of the game is to be the first player to complete 6 tickets. Lay out the board and each player takes a set of matching colored trains. Shuffle the train cards and deal 4 to each player. Place the remainder facedown as a draw deck. Shuffle the ticket cards and deal 2 to each player. Place the remainder facedown. Players may look at their own cards but should keep them hidden from others. Place the coast to coast bonus cards nearby.
The youngest player goes first then play proceeds clockwise. On your turn you may either draw 2 train cards from the top of the deck and add them to your hand; or, you may claim a route by discarding train cards from your hand that match the color and number of spaces on the board between two locations, placing 1 of your trains in each of those spaces. The color of your plastic trains does not need to match the color of the route
You may claim any route on the board that isn’t already claimed by another player, even if it isn’t connected to any of your other claimed routes. You can only claim 1 route on your turn. Locomotive cards are wilds and can represent any color. Some cities have two parallel routes, you are not allowed to claim both of those routes.
When you have built a continuous line of trains between the 2 cities printed on your ticket card, then you have completed that ticket. Flip it face up in front of you and let the other players know, then draw 1 ticket card from the deck. On your turn instead of drawing cards or claiming a route, you are allowed to discard both of your tickets to draw new ones from the deck.
When you have completed a continuous line of trains from one of the west coast cities to one of the east coast cities, then you earn the coast-to-coast bonus and take the bonus card. That card counts as 1 completed ticket. You may only have 1 coast to coast card.
The game ends immediately when a player completes their 6th ticket, and they win and get the golden ticket. If a player places their last train on the board before this, then the game ends at that time, and the player who completed the most tickets win. If there is a tie, then all the tied players win.
