While traveling overseas it is important to remember that you may not always have access to internet. Following this tutorial will ensure your phone is ready for traveling and can still be useful without an internet connection. This tutorial is also helpful for people going on a future cruise.
While going on a cruise it is important to remember that unless you purchase the cruise ship internet package, connecting to the cruise ship wifi will not give you an internet connection. This means the more you prepare your phone the better off you will be at sea.
Check out the tips below to prepare for your next overseas trip:
1. Add contact information such as an emergency contact or hotel name, your cruise ship name and stateroom cabin number to your phones home screen
2. Download the app Google Translate app and offline languages
3. Save an offline copy of all travel destinations or cruise ports to Google Maps
4. Download offline copies any kindle ebooks, podcast, music, netflix videos, or other downloadable content.
