If you need to repair a corrupt video file using VLC, follow these steps. Please note that VLC Media Player is not specifically designed to fix corrupted files, so this method may not work 100% of the time. However, VLC can sometimes help play media files that are only partially corrupted.

Start by opening VLC Media Player. Go to the *Media* tab in the top left corner and select *Convert/Save* from the dropdown menu. In the *File Selection* section, click on *Add* and choose the corrupted video file you want to attempt to fix.

After selecting the file, click on the *Convert/Save* button again. On the next screen, choose a destination where the repaired video file will be saved. Once you've set the location, click *Start* to begin the conversion process.

VLC will now try to convert the video, potentially making it playable again. After the conversion is complete, you can locate the video in the folder you selected. If the file was not severely corrupted, it should play smoothly.
