Face ID uses facial recognition to unlock the phone and to confirm your identity in certain apps or features. In some instances, facial recognition cannot be used so you must also set up a PIN
1.From the home screen, tap Settings
2.Scroll down and tap Face ID & Passcode
3.Tap Set up Face ID
4.Hold the phone so it is at eye level and then tap Get Started
5.Position your face in the circle and then rotate your head slowly
6.When the scan has completed, tap Continue
7.Repeat the previous step to scan your face for a second time
8.Tap Done
9.Enter a passcode. This will be used when Face ID is not available
10.Re-enter the passcode
11.Enter the password for your Apple ID and then tap Continue
12.To unlock the phone using Face ID, lift the phone to wake the screen
13.Look at the phone and at the same time, swipe up from the bottom of the screen
